Rumors have been circulating that Tom Cruise would be turning the Hudson River plane crash into a movie. Tom was quoted as saying that U.S. Airways’ Capt. Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger’s landing was heroic and that there “might be a movie”.
He reportedly gave this quote to Entertainment Tonight:
“I was with people today, and they said, ‘There’s a movie in here,’ “ the actor reportedly said. “I’m thinking about that.
“To have done such a heroic job…I know what it’s like, because we train for emergencies and then for it to happen and to have it turn out the way it did—that’s how we want them to end.”
Tom’s rep has told E! News that’s not the case. Also, no such interview can be found on the ET website.
