Don’t forget that tonight, December 4th, is Barbara Walters special ‘Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2008′ on ABC at 10 PM ET. Tom Cruise made the list! You can see a clip of the interview here.
Tom admitted that the past few years have been difficult. He told Barbara, “You know, with the press, there is truth and then perception”. He went on to say that there were some things that he would have handled better. Tom was able to say that with a little chuckle, which I think shows that he is able to look at the past as the past and now he is moving forward.
I personally think that Tom Cruise’s career isn’t over. My prediction is that he will land a phenomenal movie role that will put him back where he used to be, which is at top actor level. He’s still very popular, although other’s would say otherwise.
There are so many actors, actresses and musicians who have had some tough years and then they bounced back. They are human and they make mistakes, unfortunately their mistakes are displayed for millions to see. Tom has had some rough years, but he’s not letting that stop him from moving forward. I am looking forward to seeing what he does with his career in the next few years.
