Update: TMZ is reporting that Tom and Katie will not be at the funeral: Tom Cruise is not going to Jett Travolta’s memorial in Florida today, because he is currently in NYC taping "The View." Interestingly, Travolta did not attend Tom’s star-studded 2006 wedding to Katie Holmes.
As most of you already know, Jett Travolta, the son of John Travolta and Kelly Preston passed away early this week while on vacation with his family in the Bahamas. You can read more about the tragedy here. My thoughts go out to this family as they are dealing with this difficult time. I can not imagine what it feels like to lose a child.
A hosts of celebrities are planning on attending the private funeral, and Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are expected to be there. Jett’s ashes are to be scattered near his family home in Florida tomorrow (January 8).
I am not sure how Katie would be able to go, given her Broadway schedule. I know that John and Kelly will be surrounded by many friends and family.
