Okay, so I believe it was Star Magazine who first reported the news about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ trial seperation and the fact that they were fighting over who gets Suri. You can see the whole story here.
They were saying that Katie is crushed by the weight of her marriage to Tom and wants to strike out on her own, which means moving to New York with Suri. The magazine reports:
“She desperately needs to be on her own for a while, but there’s no way Tom is going to let her take Suri away,” an insider tells Star. “There’s no way he’ll allow it. He just doesn’t want Katie — or Suri — out of his sight for long. He told her that if she goes to New York, fine, but he goes with her.”
The insider also reports that Suri spends a lot of time with her nannies and seems to “get lost in the shuffle“.

Now obviously split rumors are nothing new, but sources are saying they have more evidence that this is indeed happening and time will tell that this marriage is on the rocks.
Do I believe this? Honestly, I have no clue. I only see this couple in pictures and get information from what I read online and in the magazines and as many of you have pointed out, we only see about 1% of what their life is really like.
Now on the flip side, Tom and Katie’s reps have come out with a statement denying this allegation and saying it is completely false:
“The allegations made by Star Magazine and In Touch are completely untrue. Tom and Katie have a strong and solid marriage. Both are supportive of each other personally and professionally. One only need look at the Internet to find numerous photos of them enjoying their time together.”
Update: It seems ImNotObsessed is the only one with this quote. Here is the rep quote from Hello and several others: “Katie and her husband enjoy a close and loving relationship.”

Every marriage has its fair share of problems and bumps in the road. I can only imagine that lately it has been tough for this couple. A lot has been happening and a lot has been said about them. I only hope that if they are indeed still very much in love, that they can rely on the support of each other, their friends and family to make it through this difficult time.
And….I hope they have a wonderful time celebrating Suri’s 2nd birthday today! Do you think we will see pictures of the two surface tonight and tomorrow as they celebrate?
