Katie Holmes has been chosen to star as Former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in a mini-series that will air in 2011. The series will run for 8 hours on the History Channel.
The series will focus on the Kennedy family, long dubbed America’s own Camelot – a story that ended in tragedy for John and Robert, when the two brothers were killed in separate assassinations. Jacqueline went on to marry Greek millionaire Aristotle Onassis, earning the nickname “Jackie O.”
President John F. Kennedy will be portrayed by Greg Kinnear, Barry Pepper will appear as Robert Kennedy, and JOe Kennedy Sr., will be played by Tom Wilkinson. This will mark the first series of this type by the History Channel.
