Kate, a Tom Cruise and Katie HolmesCrazy reader, mentioned that she had read that Katie Holmes signed on to star in “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark”. I looked into it and sure enough, it’s everywhere! I’ve been away from my computer for most of the day (5 year old had to have a tooth pulled…not fun) and I miss BIG news like this!
Anyway, here’s what I’ve been able to find out about the movie. According to Variety, Katie has agreed to star in the thriller “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark”. The film is set to shoot this summer in Melbourne.
Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark" is based on a 1973 ABC telepic about a young girl who moves in with her father and his girlfriend and discovers they are sharing the house with devilish creatures.
IMDB describes the plot as “A young girl sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend discovers creatures in her new home who want to claim her as one of their own.”
Okay, so I mentioned before I don’t like horror movies, but I think this is one I will have to suck it up, be brave and go see. I can’t miss Katie!
