81020NR1_CRUISE_T_B_GR_11 Way back at the beginning of January, there were rumors swirling that Katie Holmes was offered the role in “Finding Neverland” on Broadway. Sources were saying that Katie had also taken part in a workshop in New York and that “The workshop centers on Sylvia’s relationship with J M Barrie, who she inspired to write Peter Pan.”

I found this small little blurb on Back Stage, that may mean something or it may not. Who knows! It’s a list of New York Production Listings and this was listed on it:

Finding Neverland, a musical based on the 2004 film about J.M. Barrie, the playwright who created Peter Pan. The book is by Allan Knee, author of the play upon which the film was based, and the score is by composer Scott Frankel and lyricist Michael Korie (Grey Gardens). A reading was held in January with Christian Borle, Kate Baldwin, and Katie Holmes, directed by Rob Ashford. Harvey Weinstein will produce. Target opening: 2010.

Okay, so we know that she read for the part and the target opening year is not until 2010. We also know that Katie has been practicing her dancing and singing skills.

So, my guess is…we are going to see Katie in a musical! What are your thoughts?
