Amy Scobee, a former Scientologist has wrote a book titled, “Scientology: Abuse at the Top” where she hopes to reveal all the deep dark secrets of the religion. Many are already up in arms about what she has to say, some are even questioning if her writings are real or exaggerated…after all she is a “former” scientology member. So could she have true information or is this just her way of getting revenge?
Amy worked as International Management for 20 years and oversaw all recruitment of Hollywood stars in that time, this would include any and all abuse she reports on in the book. You can pre-order the book now, but it won’t be hitting shelves until May.
In the book she will most likely discuss….
- recruitment of: Kirstie Alley, John Travolta and many others (So probably a lot of details about them personally)
- Tom Cruise’s confession about using illegal drugs, his ultimatum by the church to pick his ex-wife (wife at the time) Nicole Kidman or the church and that Tom Cruise’s household staff was picked out by the church and paid for by the church. There may even be mention of Tom Cruise’s $40,000 birthday bash.
- pictures of events with celebrities in them
Of course what will not be noticed here is the book is suppose to be about the leader, David Miscavige and the abuse that went on behind the scenes. Will people pick up this book? Yes, of course…everyone loves controversy and secrets but even more, it is already drawing attention for talking about celebrities such as Tom Cruise, Kirstie Alley and more.
Not to worry, Tom Cruise’s lawyer is already on top of this one and has mailed off a letter of cease and desist (view the letter in the link) and stating everything she has wrote is false. After reading the letter you will learn that Amy actually uses hearsay as her evidence towards Tom Cruise’s “drug use” which means he never even said it to her personally, just she heard a rumor. But my question to him would be, if this wasn’t an issue of Tom’s past why even bother? I’m sure there would’ve been a ton of talk shows calling to get Tom’s side and he would’ve been able to use that to help promote his upcoming movie. Just a thought though. Either way, I do believe by going after Amy you have only made the book more known.
