Katie Says She Would Love to Sing for a Film

91129A1_HOLMES_K_B-GR_09Katie Holmes talked to Access Hollywood at the Sundance Film Festival while hanging out with her “The Romantics” co-star Elijah Wood. At one point, Elijah said to Katie in the interview “You should sing for a film”.

And here’s how the dialogue between the two went from there:

“That would be incredible,” she said. “It would be fun. And you, too.”

“I’d love to do that too,” Elijah said. “We should sing together.”

“Let’s do it,” Katie responded. “Elijah and I would like to make a musical.”

Katie and Elijah in a musical. What do you think about that?

Katie went on to talk about how when she’s not working, she loves to play scrabble with Tom and other friends such as Eva Longoria Parker, Victoria Beckham and David Beckham.

She revealed, “Well, we like to play this version of Scrabble which is… it’s like a fast version of Scrabble”. Sounds fun to me!

Tom and Cameron Share Some Laughs

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz continue to film their movie “Knight & Day”. We’ve seen Tom doing quite a few stunts, flying through the air and looking super cool. Cameron has commented before in an interview about how it’s amazing the stunts Tom does. I can’t wait to see them on the big screen!

Yesterday, Tom and Cameron were working on the movie in Long Beach, CA and they look like they are great friends off the set. They are sharing a pretty good laugh about something.

In the other pictures, Cameron is holding an umbrella and some kid. Not sure if the baby is in the movie or what! The photo source I use is calling her “the mystery child”. LOL. Enjoy these photos of Tom and Cameron on the set of Knight & Day.

Review Round-up for “The Extra Man” and “The Romantics”

Katie Holmes has premiered two movies at the Sundance Film Festival – The Extra Man and The Romantics.

The reviews are in and I thought the best way to do this was to do a round-up of the reviews, with links to the articles. Some are positive and some are negative, so read what you like and disregard the ones you don’t! :)

The Extra Man Reviews:

Screen Crave: The Extra Man seems a perfect film to be screened at Sundance; it centers around odd individuals living on the fringe of society, gracefully managing to make a niche for themselves in a world that would just as soon ignore them.  That sounds like a metaphor for independent film if I’ve ever heard one.

Dark Horizons: Few films I have noticed at Sundance have paid as much attention to script as this exquisite adaptation of Jonathan Ames’ novel “The Extra Man”.

The New York Times: “The Extra Man” collects eccentric characters like an antiques dealer collects aging objects.

Cinema Blend: Given the starry cast, The Extra Man will probably get picked up before too long, and can sell itself based on Kline’s hammy performance, Dano’s sensitive one, and the promise of seeing a lot of weird stuff in a short running time. But The Extra Man is primarily a giant disappointment, proof that quirk without direction or purpose can feel just as boring as a story about more ordinary people.

The Romantics:

Hollywood Reporter: So one enjoys “Romantics” for the genre trappings — the inebriated toasts, feverish gossiping, unexpected trysts, the de rigueur wedding dress snafu and bright lines that cut through the mood of sentimentality and nostalgia.

Salt Lake Magazine: Rush out and grab the soundtrack when the movie’s released but wait for The Romantics to come out on Netflix (#39). Stock up on Yellow Tail Shiraz, invite some of your favorite white/couple friends over, bake some bruschetta and let the good times roll.

Reuters: Landing somewhere between a generational comedy and soap opera, the film is forgettable fun. All the characters could use more definition, which is surprising given that Niederhoffer has adapted her novel. One would imagine there would have been ample material to flesh out her wedding party for the big screen.

Screen Daily: As might be expected from its setup, The Romantics builds to a suspenseful finale concerning whether or not the wedding will actually happen. Throughout the film, Niederhoffer can sometimes overdo the melodrama, but she confidently guides her story to a conclusion that, though surprising, feels exactly right and entirely in keeping with her characters’ open-ended futures.

If you find anymore reviews, feel free to post the links and I’ll add them here. Thanks!

Does Tom Cruise want Another Baby?

Tom Cruise And Little Suri Share A Special Moment In Cambridge

It seems everyone is chatting about how Tom Cruise wants another baby and this time he’s hoping for a little boy. Now I don’t know why everyone is making a big fuss over this, it actually makes sense, he already has two girls and only one boy so of course he’d like to even it out. That is unless he finds raising girls to be easier than raising boys…which I have two of both and still can’t figure which one is easier to raise.

OK! Magazine has stated:
"Katie is a doting mom," a source told the American edition of OK!magazine, "but Tom feels Suri has no idea what it’s like to play with kids her own age".

"Tom and Katie are definitely planning, but he’s said (getting pregnant) has to be Katie’s decision," a friend of the couple added. "But she could be expecting as early as the summer."

“Though they love [his adopted son] Connor, Tom must want a biological son to pass on the gene pool.”

So could it be true? Yes, of course it can. With no current line up for movies this would be the prime time for Katie Holmes to get pregnant and raise another little one, not to mention Suri is just getting to that perfect preschool age so if they decide to she could go to school. Leaving Katie at home by herself with the little one or dealing with the pregnancy. Sounds like an ideal time to me. Either way, it’ll happen when it happens and if they want us to know they’ll tell us, otherwise we’ll just have to wait and see.

Rumor Alert: Tom Cruise and Reese Witherspoon Team Up

LOS ANGELES LAKERS VS MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES

Rumor is Tom Cruise is going to appear in a new movie called, “Paper Wings” with Reese Witherspoon. Now I’ve always loved both in all the movies they’ve played in and I’m kind of excited to see if this rumors pans out to be true as I’d love to see them together. The movie, if details are correct is a love story that takes place at a rodeo and Tom Cruise will get to play a cowboy. Could you picture it? I can, especially since we’ve seen Tom Cruise wearing blue jeans almost everywhere he goes and he lives in the mountains (Colorado), not sure if he rides a horse but I can totally see it.

Reese Witherspoon Casual Day At The Country Mart!

Currently there is nothing on IMDB that states this is true, in fact here are the next three movies they will be in and those that are being developed:

Tom Cruise:
2010 will be “Knight and Day”
2011 will be “Mission Impossible IV”
2012 will be “The Hardy Men”
Those in development (he’s got 10) are The Fall of the Warrior King, Adventurer’s Club, Timecrimes, The Matarese Circle, etc.

Reese Witherspoon:
2010 will be “How Do You Know” and “This Means War”
2011 will be “Water for Elephants” and “Pharm Girl”
Those in development (she’s got 11) are Nice, Midnight, Around the World in 80 Dates, The Pioneer Woman, etc.

Hopefully this is true and not just a rumor, but I guess we’ll hear more about that in the next few week.
